Total Forgiveness

 By R.T. Kendall

Published by Charisma House, 2001

Have you ever asked yourself the following questions?

How do I know when I have truly totally forgiven?

How long does it take to forgive someone?

Does total forgiveness change that relationship?

What are my responsibilities to the those I have totally forgiven?

What part does reconciliation play?

What about my rights?

How do I know when another has totally forgiven me?

How does unforgiveness affect me spiritually, emotionally, and physically?

What are the emotional symptoms of unforgiveness?

Do I need to forgive myself?

It is possible that the only teaching you heard was to say, “I’m sorry” for a wrong you did to another and then told to forgive those who have hurt you.  That was the nice and polite thing to do.  But, were the biblical blessings of forgiveness and the consequences of unforgiveness really taught?  Are you able to explain them to your children, spouse, family, friends or coworkers?

These questions plus many more are answered by Dr. Kendall all by using biblical truths with practical application

Perhaps there is no one to forgive.  You have already gone through a mental check list of people in your life and decided they are all forgiven.   Through Dr. Kendall’s teaching, the Holy Spirit may just shine His light on a person that you have not totally forgiven or may be experiencing difficulty in forgiving.

This book deeply impacted me, so much so, I gave a copy just about everyone I knew for a Christmas gift one year.

Forgiveness requires wisdom from God. Not every situation is the same. We should trust God who gives wisdom and revelation. When it comes to incredibly evil people who had spiritual gifts from God but were using them against God's people e.g Judas Iscariot (who secretly despised Jesus)- Jesus prayed damnation on him.

In other cases Paul the apostle withstood Peter (who loved Jesus) to the face because he was being hypocritical . Paul's rebuke helped Peter

If you believe the bible written word of God and that God is Spirit and those who worship Him are to worship in spirit and in truth, you are better off burning books written by RT Kendall. His books rake in tons of cash because they can easily be understood by the carnal mind. If you are concerned about the way of salvation, dont trust most preachers and teachers of our day, instead go into a quiet place and start reading the gospels of Matthew , Mark, Luke and John and ask God to give you wisdom in understanding parables. If we are humble and seek God, he will fill us with His Spirit. The promise of the Father.

People ought to read the bible for themselves and be careful of what you find in other books ABOUT the bible . The Spirit of God is the one who teaches christians directly through our experiences, scripture, all things in the world and also other people. I don't think much of Kendall's books. They contain scripture but they are against the gospel of Jesus Christ because they use psycological techniques so you get addicted to his books and are no longer able to read the scripture for yourself. People ought to seek God from themselves and ask God Himself to teach us about forgiveness. Get a Good News bible if you feel other versions are too difficult. People can fall into a great trap by believing RT Kendall's books on these subjects.

In response to "martin":
"...do't trust most preachers and teachers of our day, instead go into a quiet place and start reading the gospels... People ought to read the bible for themselves..." Following your logic, I shouldn't trust you. You commented on something controversial just like Kendall did. Should I ignore your commentary also?
